A Triptych on Loss & Love

by Frances Henry

A Triptych on Loss & Love brings together three stories about the author’s life during a period of wrenching loss.

The first story, Flame, revolves around the sudden pain of a suicide. Grief and healing move in waves as a community assembles to mark the loss and reach for life.

Jewel is the story of a mother and daughter in the final days of the mother's life. A conflicted, and perhaps typical, relationship undergoes unexpected shifts that shed new light on possibilities during such necessary separations.

In the final story, Friend, the author describes a friendship between two women that sustains a rare depth over forty years and great distance.

Each story travels the road from love to loss and love again in ways both unique and universal.

A Triptych on Love & Loss is printed in a letterpress edition signed by the author.
